Privacy Policy

Effective July 7, 2026

The short version

  • We collect the minimum needed to run a membership site: your email, your course progress, and your billing status.
  • We don't run ads or sell data. No ad trackers, ever.
  • We never see or store your card number — payments are handled by Stripe.
  • You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from the Account page — it erases your data immediately.

What we collect and why

  • Email address — your account identity and how sign-in codes reach you. There are no passwords.
  • Display name (optional) — shown next to your comments if you set one.
  • Course activity— which lessons you've watched and where you left off, so playback can resume and your progress shows in the catalog.
  • Comments — what you post in lesson discussions, visible to other members.
  • Subscription status — whether your membership is active, mirrored from Stripe so we can grant access. Card details stay with Stripe; we store only a customer reference.
  • Security metadata — browser user-agent per session, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address for abuse prevention. We deliberately do not store raw IP addresses.

What we deliberately don't do

  • No advertising or ad trackers of any kind.
  • No selling or renting personal data. Not to anyone.
  • No tracking-based analytics. We measure site traffic with Cloudflare's cookieless web analytics — aggregate page counts only, no cookies, no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking. Lesson-viewing data (which lessons are watched) is our own and is used to improve courses.
  • No collection of your children's information. Our courses are for adults; we never ask about your child.

Who processes data on our behalf

Three infrastructure providers handle data to make the service work, each under their own privacy commitments: Cloudflare (hosting, database, and video delivery), Stripe (payments and billing), and Resend (sending sign-in and account emails). We don't share your data with anyone else except as required by law.

Cookies

We use exactly two cookies, both essential: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a preferences cookie remembering accessibility settings (calm mode, font choice) for signed-out visitors. No tracking cookies, so there's no cookie banner — there's nothing to opt out of.

Deleting your data

Account → Danger zone → “Delete my account” cancels any subscription immediately and permanently erases your account, sessions, progress, enrollments, and comments. This is immediate and irreversible. Records our payment processor is legally required to retain (e.g., invoices for tax purposes) remain with Stripe under their policy.

Data retention

Sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes and are purged. Sessions expire after 30 days of disuse and are purged. Everything else is kept while your account exists and erased when you delete it.

Changes and contact

Material changes will update the effective date above with email notice to members. Privacy questions: email the support address on our pricing page.
